The Housing Minister says 'real progress' is being made on delivering housing.
Darragh O'Brien says 1 in 2 new homes bought last year were purchased by first-time buyers.
More of them were able to buy their own homes last year - than we've seen since 2007.
Minister O'Brien describes what's helping first-time buyers get on the property ladder:
"That's been helped by two particular initiatives one to help to buy grant, up to €30,000 of people's own tax back in their pocket to help with the deposits, and the continued expansion of the first home scheme, which is a scheme that I brought forward last year."
