Independent TDs are setting out their stalls ahead of a vote of no confidence in the Government this week.
Fine Gael deputy Joe McHugh and Fianna Fáil's Marc McSharry are among those expected to vote in support of the government, despite both members losing their party's whip.
Independent Marian Harkin will back Sinn Féin's "no confidence" motion.
Political Editor with the Irish Examiner Daniel McConnell explains which TDs could swing the vote:
"We're now looking at Neasa Hourigan and Patrick Costello who will off the Green Party, there's an expectation that they will either abstain or vote with the government further bolstering the government's slim majority. Then you've got the group of Noel Grealish, Michael Larry and Peter Fitzpatrick, a former Fine Gael TD, but they have generally voted solidly with the government all the way through."
