An information booklet, explaining every Irish citizen's right to access their birth cert, will be delivered to every household in the country in the coming weeks.
Under new legislation, every Irish person, including those who were adopted or boarded out, will have the right to their birth certificate and early life information.
The pamphlet will explain a new tracing service for those with questions on their origin and will also outline where to access support if needed.
