The Irish Nurses and Midwives Organisation believes Ireland is facing a huge nurse shortage.
It comes as billboards have been erected across Dublin, commissioned by the Victorian Department of Health hoping to bring nurses to Australia.
INMO representative for the Mater Hospital in Dublin, Maeve Brehony, explains the difficulties Irish health workers are facing:
"We have examples where there should be 7 nurses on a ward, and at best we might have 4. That's a huge burden to people no matter what you are paying."
