An internal investigation is underway after 12 people were hurt during turbulence on a flight from Doha to Dublin.
Six passengers and six crew members were injured when the Qatar Airways flight hit turbulence over Turkey yesterday morning.
Eight people were taken to hospital when the flight landed at Dublin Airport at around 1pm.
Media Relations Manager with the DAA, Graeme McQueen says emergency crews were lined up to meet the plane when it arrived:
"A very scary incident. We got word at about 9:15 that there was an issue on the flight at that point, the flight was just over a Turkey. Our guys kept in touch with the airline to find out the extent of the injuries and what would be needed on the ground. That meant we were ready to go - we had five ambulances, a full team of fire services and airport police ready to welcome them when they landed, and make sure that all the passengers were looked after.
