Minister Eamon Ryan says the DPP's impending decision regarding Tanaiste Leo Varadkar will not distract the government.
The investigation into an alleged document leak concluded yesterday, but it could take time for the outcome to be announced.
Deputy Varadkar is due to assume the role of Taoiseach in December, however some are doubtful a decision will be made by then.
In the meantime, The Environment Minister says the government has a lot to focus on.
"I don't think it's interfering in what we need to do.
"We've got a refugee crisis we need to manage, we have a cost of living crisis we need to manage.
"I don't believe that file within the DPP will distract us or should distract us, and I'll let her do her work in the timely manner I'm sure she will do it in."
