An investigation is underway after a woman's body was discovered in County Limerick.
The scene is currently being preserved.
The body of a woman in her early 50s was found at a house in the Templegreen area of Newcastle West.
The discovery was made at around 10 past 5 yesterday evening.
The remains of the woman are still at the scene, which is being preserved for a technical examination.
Gardaí say that the State Patholgist has been notified.
A post-mortem is due to be arranged and that will determine the course of this investigation.
