Two investigations into an attack on a teenage boy in Co Meath are continuing this morning.
Gardai and the Louth Meath Education and Training Board are probing the assault on the boy in Navan earlier this week.
A video shared of the incident online has been viewed over 5-and-a-half-million times, with Gardai urging people not to share it further.
James O'Higgins of the Anti-Bullying Centre in DCU believes some boys in society have been influenced by aggressive behaviour they watch online.
"There was always a level of performance when guys in school wanted to assert themselves.
"But now, the performance is for a worldwide audience. They're being influenced by the MMA culture, they're being influenced by the Andrew Tate effect that's out there.
"That has pushed the aggression to a whole new level."
