Ireland's export levels reach all time high

Ireland exported a record €451 billion of products last year.

The figure, which is published today, is the highest in the history of the State.

A further record of €431 billion was spent by Irish people importing goods from outside the Country.

Minister for Trade promotion Robert Troy, says domestic Irish companies are exporting like never before:

"In these figures also we see for the first time, the strongest ever figures for Enterprise Ireland client companies, those are indigenous Irish companies who are trading internationally, and that was the best year on record for EI companies."
