The Irish Human Rights and Equality Commission says inequality in housing and employment are key priorities to be tackled over the coming years.
The Commission is today launching details of its updated strategy for the next three years.
The body also plans to focus on issues like how the climate crisis and the Covid-19 pandemic can unfairly impact some people.
Chief Commissioner Sinéad Gibney, says economic inequality is major issue for many.
"It's in response to the housing crisis, and other inequalities that we see across healthcare and education, income and carers.
"How we engage is throughout every step of our activities we always talk to the people that are most affected by these issues, and it's something we promote with other stakeholders as well.
