The Irish Mail on Sunday has apologised to a number of Fianna Fáil politicians for a column which criticised their appearance.
Taoiseach Michéal Martin called the piece in last week's paper 'nasty', while others within the party called it 'deplorable'.
In this week's edition it says the comments made in the column have been withdrawn and apologises to the individuals mentioned.
