More than 2,300 checks have been carried out in the 15,000 businesses over the past three weeks.
The figures, reported by today's Irish Independent, show a low level of non-compliance with indoor regulations.
There was a three percent failure rate at the 2,200 premises checked by the HSE, while out of 165 HSA inspections, four percent weren't following the rules.
