There's a kid-boom on Dublin's Howth head.

14 'Old Irish' goats have been born there in the last month - the first born on Howth Head in 70 years.

The native herd were moved from Mayo to Dublin in September 2021.

Melissa Jeuken from the Old Irish Goat Society says the goats are so important to the area:

"They came from Mayo and were relocated to Howth with myself here as their herder. And they have a job here to protect Howth and help with the management of Howth against wildfires and the general sustainability and habitat management of Howth heathland".
