A large reception centre's to be set up near Rosslare Europort for Ukrainians arriving here.
More than 10,400 have travelled here seeking refuge since the war began almost a month ago.
More than 180 arrived at the Wexford port on Monday, and more are expected over the coming days.
Minister for Public Expenditure, Michael McGrath outlined the plan for the reception centre in the Dáil earlier:
"The intention now is to put this in place as quickly as possible: a large reception centre close to the port, because it is a busy working port, as you have acknowledged and, insofar as we possibly can, the model will replicate the successful model that is in operation at Dublin Airport."
