Leaving Cert students are unlikely to know the date their results will be issued before they start their exams on June 8th.
They may be delayed beyond the usual mid-August date because of a second sitting of exams in July for those affected by covid, serious illness or bereavement, while a Government pledge that this years grades won't be any lower than last years will also cause a delay.
The Irish Independent reports that the announcement of a date for the results could still be 'some weeks away’.
