One in five Ulster Bank and KBC customers have made no action to switch accounts.
That's according to a survey from the Competition and Consumer Protection Commission, as the two banks prepare to exit Ireland.
One fifth of those polled by the watchdog said they have yet to take any action at all to switch banks.
Karl Cronin, from the Money Advice and Budgeting Service, 'MABS', is encouraging people to switch soon:
"If you have a short transition period where you have your old account and your new account opened at the same time, you will avoid falling into that pitfall of maybe a missed payment or maybe your wages not going in to the new account."
