A man raised the alarm of the alleged incident at Clondalkin Garda Station at around 2am on October 21st.
A major Garda operation was launched, and the baby was found in West Dublin after a two-hour search before being brought to Temple Street Children's Hospital.
It's alleged her father assaulted, neglected or abandoned a child in a manner likely to cause suffering injury, and appeared before Blanchardstown District Court for a second time today.
He can't be identified in order to protect the child's legal right to anonymity.
Detective Garda Cian Logan told the Court a file has been submitted to the DPP and they were awaiting directions, adding there would be additional charges.
Judge Gerard Jones remanded the accused on continuing bail to appear in court again in March.
