A man in his 40s has died in a single car crash in County Meath.
It happened just outside Dunboyne yesterday.
The man was driving his car when it crashed on the R154 at Piercetown near Dunboyne at around half 2 yesterday afternoon.
He was the only person in the car and was brought from the scene by ambulance to St James's Hospital in Dublin, where he was later pronounced dead.
The scene has been technically examined by Garda Forensic Collision Investigators and Gardaí are appealing for witnesses to the single car collision to come forward.
Any drivers who were travelling in on the R154 near Dunboyne at the time of the crash who may have camera footage is asked to make this available to Gardaí.
