A man has been arrested and charged in connection with a hijacking in Dublin yesterday.
It happened at around eight o'clock in the evening in the Northbrook Avenue area of Ranelagh.
Gardaí say a man took control of a car and drove away from Ranelagh.
The car was later involved in a crash on the Chapelizod Bypass, in West Dublin.
Gardaí arrested a man in his early 20s in connection with the incident.
He's since been charged and is due before a sitting of the Criminal Courts of Justice today.
