A man will appear in court today, charged in connection with a fatal assault in Limerick.
Another man appeared in court yesterday, charged with robbing Alan Bourke who was attacked.
"A 35-year old man appeared at a special sitting of Ennis District Court yesterday evening charged with robbing the man who died after an assault in Limerick.
48 year old Alan Bourke from St Mary's Park in Limerick, was found seriously injured outside Colbert train station on Parnell Street in Limerick, and he later died in hospital.
The court was told that Mark Ryan of Lenihan Avenue, Prospect, Limerick, made no reply in response to the charge of robbing Alan Bourke of cans of alcohol and a bicycle in Limerick city on Friday, April 15th last.
Mr Ryan was granted legal aid and remanded in custody, to appear before Limerick District Court next Tuesday.
A second man in his 30's, who was arrested by Gardaí as part of the investigation into the fatal assault on Parnell Street has been charged.
He will appear before a special sitting of Ennis District Court at midday today."
