The Media Minister has confirmed she is broadening the scope of the review into RTE.
Cabinet is meeting this morning to discuss the terms of reference for a review of governance and culture at the broadcaster following the recent payments controversy.
It's expected to take up to eight months, however several interim reports are expected before then.
Speaking before Cabinet, Media Minister Catherine Martin says the review will be extensive.
"I have decided to broaden the scope of this examination.
"I briefed the party leaders last night, and they are happy with the approach I am proposing.
"I will now go in to Cabinet to discuss that approach with my Cabinet colleagues."
