A status orange alert will be in effect for Cork and the rest of the country
The warnings will be in place from 1pm tomorrow with winds of up to 145 kilometres an hour expected.
The National Emergency co-ordination group is advising people to stay away from coastal areas, take care on the roads and check in on vulnerable neighbours.
