The Taoiseach says it would be extremely difficult for Fianna Fáil to enter a coalition with Sinn Féin.
Micheál Martin was speaking at the official opening of Stryker’s new facility in Carrigtwohill yesterday after The Irish Times reported that foreign companies have been trying to find out if a Sinn Féin led government would be ‘business friendly’.
The Fianna Fáil leader says he is not reading too much into recent opinion polls and accused Sinn Féin of potentially having a ‘knee jerk’ reaction with regards taxation.
Speaking to RedFM News, the Taoiseach outlines his issue with the party’s policies:
"I think Sinn Féins knee jerk reaction to any problem would be to tax, particularly small enterprises. The SMEs have most fear from Sinn Féin policies, because there was a reflex reaction to the issue which would be let's tax them more."
