The Minister for Children has been asked to clarify whether an independent review into Mother and Baby home testimonies will still take place.
Survivors expressed concerns last year that their testimonies were mishandled during an official report which lead Roderic O'Gorman to announce the setting up of an independent review.
However, it's believed plans for that review have now been scrapped.
Lorna Bogue is a Green Left Councillor in Cork and says the Minister needs to answer questions or face the consequences:
"It's up to the government to decide whether a minister can stay in their position while displaying levels of incompetence that erode people's trust and confidence and whether the state can actually address any of these systemic issues. What is the government to do in that situation?"
