The National Association for Community Development, Muintir na Tíre, has launched a new safety programme called the 'Personal Information Pack'.
Muintir na Tíre works directly with over 200 Community Councils, both rural and urban.
The Personal Information Pack lets first responders, such as ambulance and fire services and the Gardaí, know vital information in the event of a car crash.
The pack contains emergency contacts and other key information which allow them to to take immediate, safe and effective action.
A key part of the programme is the display of the identifying sticker, in pre-set places, so emergency services are immediately aware that the information is available.
