A new survey has found 73 per cent of employees in Ireland have a "work personality" and act differently in the office than they do at home.
The research by HR company Workhuman also found almost 6 in 10 workers don't want to be their true selves around their colleagues.
When asked why they invented a "work personality", 88 per cent of respondents said they felt more engaged in their tasks when in "work mode".
Senior Director at Workhuman David Burke says it's a challenge for employers to find ways for their workers to express themselves in the office:
"57% also said they didn't want to be their true selves around their colleagues, while 52% said they didn't know how to be themselves in work. So really points to quite a crisis personality in the workplace".
