New Zealand's Keely O'Grady has been crowned the 64th Rose of Tralee.
The 21 year old is the first Kiwi to win the competition since 1988.
She was named the winner after 32 roses were interviewed by hosts Daithí Ó Sé and Kathryn Thomas in the County Kerry town over the last two nights.
The speech and language therapy student says she feels very connected to Ireland and Irish culture:
"New Zealand and Ireland have very similar experiences with colonisation and the cultural revitalisation that they are putting in place today in terms of revitalising the indigenous languages, traditions and arts. Showing the interconnectedness of these cultures shows the strength that Irishness has."
