Regulators have suggested banning nighttime flights at Dublin Airport's new runway to cut down on noise.
The restrictions on the north runway, that's due to open next year, would cover midnight to 6am.
A noise quota or budget has also been suggested by the Aircraft Noise Competent Authority, that will now go out to public consultation.
Councillor and local resident, Joe Newman, says there's concern the airport is just going to get busier and busier.
"We also feel that it is detrimental to the development of other airports in the country.
"It's just grown and grown and grown, and somewhere it's got to stop so we need to think really long and hard about that.
