The North Presentation School in Farranee has begun a process to change its name.
The school had announced joint plans to amalgamate with Saint Vincent's Girls Secondary School next September.
However, Saint Vincent's withdrew from this plan following backlash from students and the wider school community.
Instead, North Presentation will continue alone and become co-educational from September 2023.
The school is beginning a process to allow students, parents and the wider community to chose a school name.
A new uniform, crest and mission statement are also planned.
