The country could be at risk of further job losses due to its reliance on Foreign Direct Investment.
That's the warning from the OECD which says Ireland is more exposed than other countries it the economy worsens.
The Business Post reports it's easier for tech firms to cut their workforces to reduce costs, in the wake of job losses at Meta and Twitter.
Labour spokesperson on workers' rights, Senator Marie Sherlock says the Government shouldn't be as dependent on these firms:
"Ireland is very reliant and there is a question as to how Ireland actually ensures that we're not as reliant on a very small number of very large multinationals in this country, and that we actually diversify the source of employment in this country."
