One person has been arrested after a match between Longford Town and Bray Wanderers in the League of Ireland last night.
Videos online appear to show Bray fans engaged in antisocial behaviour at Bishopsgate Stadium outside Longford.
The FAI has since released a statement, saying it is working closely with Gardaí to investigate the incident.
Andrew Dempsey, writer with Pundit Arena, details the scenes that led to the disorder:
"It kind of kicked off when there was a pyrotechnic thrown in the direction of Longford Town goalkeeper Luke Dennison. I think, stewards eventually did move them over to the traditional away end in Bishopsgate and then it was from there, they clashed with stewards. And so that's where, where all the videos came from and and eventually, the guards and the stewards did calm the situation down and removed those responsible".
