Over 1900 sports clubs and facilities are set to benefit from 2.5 million euro in funding.
Sport Minister Catherine Martin says the Sports Energy Support Scheme will further support the sector.
The funding aims to help alleviate financial pressure as a result of increased energy costs.
Minister Martin says the scheme has now distributed over 23.5 million euro to clubs nationwide.
