Over half of Irish households admit to wasting water.
That's the finding of new Irish Water research as it encourages people to conserve water as the weather gets warmer.
It's unveiling its new Conservation Calculator today which will help people across the country to assess how they use their water.
Irish Water Regional Operations Manager, John O'Donoghue describes how this calculator will work.
"The calculator itself it offers practical tips on how to reduce water usage in the home. and it's free to use on our on our website.
"It's developed in response to research which we've carried out, which shows that consumers want additional tools to help them conserve water.
