The Justice Minister has made a special appeal to the public on today National Missing Persons Day 2020

They are asking people to contact Gardaí with any information they may have on Ireland's missing people.

Today is the eighth annual National Missing Persons Day and the all-island event is a chance for families to talk about their loved ones and appeal for any information which may try to resolve the cases.

A special ceremony will take place today online with the Garda Commissioner Drew Harris and Justice Minister Helen McEntee.

Meanwhile, Deliveroo is teaming up again this year with the National Missing Persons Helpline for the month of December.

Deliveroo riders will carry backpacks across Cork and Dublin carrying the images and details of missing people as part of their "Bring them home" campaign

Here in Cork the image of Barry Coughlan, last seen in Crosshaven in 2004 and Christophe Goutte last seen in Carrigtwohill will be featured on the delivery riders backpacks to raise awareness of their cases along with the missing person's helpline number.
