Over 898,000 people are on some form of hospital waiting list.
Nearly 625,000 were waiting for a first outpatient consultation at the end of last month - down nearly 300 from March.
The inpatient list is down over 500 - to just under 80,000.
The figures have been released this evening by the National Treatment Purchase Fund.
