The Further Education Minister's announced €5 million in total to support college-goers' mental health across Ireland.

Simon Harris says it comes at a time of great urgency around student support and re-opening planning for the next academic year.

UCC have confirmed their 2020/2021 academic year will start on September 28th with a mixture of online virtual classes and on-campus learning depending on the course.

The funding will be used to recruit more student counsellors, assistant psychologists and to implement the Framework for Consent in colleges.
