Member of the Oireachtas Public Accounts Committee, Verona Murphy, says she has concerns about confidence in those who are currently on the RTE Executive Board.
The independent TD for Wexford says the Grant Thornton Report published on Wednesday last puts Ryan Tubridy in the clear.
She says the former host of the 'Late Late Show' has been made a scapegoat by the State broadcaster.
Verona Murphy added that RTE has even more questions to answer now over the payments controversy:
"I would have serious concerns that at Kevin Bakhurst's confidence in those who are left on the board. You know, I would have to say I have misgivings about that confidence. And I'd like to see them back before the Committee to correct both the inferences made by some members as well as the anomalies that have been pointed out".
