Parents are feeling the pinch when it comes to sending their children back to school.
The cost of living crisis is forcing families to cut back on some essential school items, with some hunting for second hand books and uniforms.
However it's not too late to apply for The Back to School Allowance which is available to help with costs
John Lowe from The Money Doctors said there are two levels of payments available from the Department of Social Welfare.
"Children age from 12 to 22, I've got to get that €385 So from 4 to 11, you get the €260 so they have rolled back a little bit to try and help more people because we're really suffering this last 12 months in particular, you can apply for the back to school clothing allowance online at my welfare.ie."
