More than 1.9 million passengers arrived in Ireland from overseas in July.

That compares to just over 380,000 arrivals in July last year and represents a five-fold increase.

The vast majority of passengers came to Ireland by air and more came via Britain than any other country.

Despite the large increase in numbers, they still remain significantly lower that pre-pandemic levels, when 2.2 million people travelled here.
