Pavee Point has called on venues to reconsider hosting Jimmy Carr for his upcoming Irish tour in the wake of a racist joke regarding gypsies.
In his Netflix special, he described the killing of gypsies during World War II as a "positive" of the Holocaust.
Co-Director of Pavee Point Martin Collins says his comments "glorifies genocide" and that he should face the consequences.
"Well, I think a clear message has to go out and that clear message has to be one of zero tolerance, that racism and glorifying genocide or Holocaust denial is not to be tolerated and it's not acceptable.
I do think there has to be some sanctions. I'm not suggesting for one moment that the guy's career would end, but certainly I think a number of shows should be cancelled."
