The payment for households who take in Ukrainian refugees will be finalised in two weeks' time.
A junior minister says it will range from 350 to 400 euro a month.
26,000 Ukrainian refugees have come to Ireland since the war began - and the state is running out of accommodation.
Minister of State, Niall Collins, says the payment will be confirmed shortly:
"So government is actively working on a scheme to provide for a Recognition Payment. And we envisaged that the details of the scheme and the payment amount will be finalised in about two weeks time. It's envisaged that the payment will be in or around €350 to €400 per month, but the details of the scheme will be finalised over the coming two weeks".
