Peace in Ukraine can only be achieved through strength, according to the Taoiseach.
Micheál Martin has addressed a special event being held in Kyiv to mark three years since Ukraine was invaded by Russia.
The meeting heard an EU leaders summit next month will focus on increased defence spending by the bloc.
That's something Taoiseach Micheál Martin says Ireland will need to be a part of,
"Ireland will be supportive of those measures, which will indicate strong support for Ukraine, because in any negotiations, peace can only be achieved through strength, but also it's important to remind ourselves that the objectives that Russia set itself have not been achieved".
