When the eviction ban is over in April it'll see new 'massive waves' of evictions.
That's the view of People Before Profit TD Paul Murphy who says eviction remains the number one cause of homelessness.
He's reacting to Threshold's report showing around 472 private renters a month are contacting its services as they're facing eviction.
Deputy Murphy says Ireland should allow tenants to stay in homes that are being sold.
