The boss of Permanent TSB says 'there will be difficult times ahead', with soaring energy bills dragging up the cost of living.
Eamonn Crowley has appealed to customers who are struggling to meet their mortgage repayments to contact the bank.
He insists his team, intitally brought in during Covid 19, is still in place and is waiting to help out.
However Eamonn Crowley has this advice for customers:
"Will it be difficult? There's no doubt about it and families support each other in that respect because it tends to be times you seek support within your own family or indeed with with government support as well. That's their places to go but the bank as an initial contact, we're ready willing and open to discuss those challenges with customers."
