A plaque to commemorate the world’s first national Tennis championship for women has been unveiled in Dublin.
The world’s first Tennis championship for women took place in Ireland this month 144 years ago.
The tournament was held on the courts of Fitzwilliam Lawn Tennis Club, on Upper Pembroke Street.
