A post mortem will be carried out today on the body of a young man who died in a jetski accident in Co. Clare.
The body of the 19 year old was recovered from the water of Lough Derg close to the bridge at Killaloe last night.
Two girls were also on the jetski when it flipped over, however they were wearing life jackets and managed to make it to shore with the help of bystanders.
Paraic McMahon, Head of News and Sport at the Clare Echo, says the young man's body was found after a multi-agency search.
"He went underwater close to the ESB milliard in an area known locally as 'between the waters'.
"After this, action began immediately on a search operation which involved the Killaloe Coast Guard.
"They were tasked to the incident at approximately 5.05pm. The Killaloe/Ballina Search and Rescue, a unit from Killaloe Fire Station and Rescue 115 helicopter from Shannon were also involved.
"It was close to 7.30 by the time the man's body was discovered by the bridge close to where the accident happened."
