Post mortem examinations will be carried out later on the bodies of a man and woman who died in a drowning tragedy in Co. Kerry.
It's believed the two people who died were a brother and sister; the man in his 50s was from Roscommon while his sister who was 62, had an address in Sweden.
It's believed at least one other family member, a teenage boy, was on holidays with them at the time of the tragedy.
The alarm was raised just after 6 o'clock yesterday evening after the man was spotted in difficulty in the sea off Mans beach.
Emergency services began CPR, but he was pronounced dead a short time later.
The woman was found in the water during a follow up search, but was pronounced dead after being treated at the scene.
Local Sinn Féin Councillor Robert Beasley, who was on the beach yesterday evening, describes the conditions at the time:
"There was a strong breeze and the water was rough but to me it wouldn't be awfully rough to some but unfortunately, the results were tragic anyway."
