Pressure is mounting on the newly elected TD Eoin Hayes, to resign.
The Dublin Bay South deputy was suspended from the Social Democrats yesterday, over shares he owned in a company linked to the Israeli Defence Forces.
The party is investigating, after it emerged he sold his shares in Palantir in June, one month after he was elected to Dublin City Council in the local elections.
He received 200-thousand euro from the sale of the shares.
People Before Profit TD Paul Murphy, says Eoin Hayes should step down
"I think it matters when we go before the electorate, that we tell the truth to the people, and the people are able to make a decision on that basis. I think the right thing to do here would be to come completely clean, to resign his seat, to give the money over to a Palestinian charity, and then, if he wants stand for re-election on the basis that, look, I made a terrible mistake"
