The prosecution in the Ashling Murphy murder trial is to call more witnesses this morning.

Jozef Puska, of Lynally Grove, Mucklagh, Co Offaly, has pleaded not guilty to the murder of the 23 year old schoolteacher on January 12th 2022.

In her opening address last week, Ms Anne Marie Lawlor for the prosecution said the Jury of 9 men and 3 women would hear evidence from Gardaí who spoke to Mr Puska in St James Hospital.

Yesterday the jury heard from paramedics who were called to an apartment block on the Armagh Road in Crumlin between 11 and 12 on the morning of 13th January 2022.

The court heard Mr Puska was hunched over what was described as a bedside locker with three apparent stab wounds to the abdomen, along with scratch marks across his head and hands.

The trail continues before Mr Justice Tony Hunt later this morning.
