Protests across the country today will call on the Government to ensure there are radical cuts in emissions.
The demonstrations by 39 groups will be held in Cork, Dublin, Galway, Limerick, Waterford, Belfast and Derry at midday.
Cop26 Coalition Ireland which is organising the events says the Government must ensure global warming is kept below 1.5 degrees.
Spokesperson Eddie Conlon has this message for the Taoiseach who'll speak at Cop 26 today:
"The second thing he needs to do is take seriously the need for real action now. It's fine to produce large documents, which have quite variable targets in them but and we need real action which ensures that our emissions are reduced and it's done in a manner that ensures a just transition."
